Board of Directors & Executive Director

Under the direction of the Board, the Executive Director manages the day-to-day operations of NRV 911 and oversees staffing, training, technology, and service delivery across the entire regional center.

Additionally, NRV 911 is overseen by a five-member Board of Directors, with one representative from each member entity plus one Joint Member. The Board sets policy, adopts the annual budget, and ensures the responsible management of Authority operations.

Joint Advisory Committee

NRV 911 is a regional authority and is accountable to the people and communities we protect, not to a single government entity. Our leadership structure was built to keep it that way.

Established by the Board in 2011, the nine-member Joint Advisory Committee is comprised of local public safety representatives from across the New River Valley.

The JAC meets regularly at the NRV 911 Training Room to provide input and recommendations on emergency communications operations ensuring the agencies and first responders who rely on NRV 911 every day have a direct voice in how we operate.
